DFW AIRPORT, Texas – March 4, 2021 – DFW Airport remains under a federal mandate requiring wearing a face mask at all times in airports. All customers and employees are required to wear masks over their nose and mouth while on DFW Airport property, including any facilities or vehicles on Airport property. The requirement applies to anyone age 2 and older or anyone without a medical condition that prevents them from wearing a mask safely.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), face coverings provide an additional measure to help slow the spread of COVID-19 when combined with everyday safe practices including healthy hygiene of regular hand-washing for at least 20 seconds and physical distancing.
All persons at DFW Airport must wear a mask at all times except while eating, drinking, or taking oral medications for a brief period. All persons are required to put the mask on immediately after finishing a meal, drink or taking oral medications. A mask means a material covering the nose and mouth of the wearer, excluding face shields.
